This restaurant has been around forever! Prices are reasonable and portions are decent. There's easy parking and lots of seating for big groups. I recommend coming here with a few other people so you can try multiple dishes. It's a casual restaurant but they do serve beer. Our favorite was the crying tiger and the ong choy, but I haven't had a bad dish here yet. The crying tiger is always juicy and tender, and the sauce is delicious! Everything had a lot of flavor, and don't forget to get a Thai tea just in case something is too spicy for you. You honestly can't go wrong with any of their specials!
So, I've recently been craving pad krapow. Mostly due to watching some YouTube videos on a day I visited Thai Nakorn, I tried to go to another restaurant closer to home. However, that restaurant was closed for the evening. It was 6 PM!!! So because I was craving it so much I decided to look for another Thai restaurant and I found Thai Nakorn. It is nestled in a nice little shopping center. This place it had plenty of space and busy as well. The servers were absolutely friendly and assisted in finding everything that I needed. And in spite of a very large party well over 20 people they were still able to give me full attention. Their pad krapow had several meat options. I chose pork. Unfortunately it was sliced pork and I did not specify ground pork. However, the flavor was still spectacular and I totally enjoyed the dish. I will definitely be here for more Thai food.
SO MUCH FLAVOR! Thai nakorn has been around forever and I see why. Flavors are phenomenal and prices are reasonable! Crying Tiger (grilled ribeye) is a must! Spicy Basil Fried Rice always hits. And any of their curries won't disappoint. My go to is always the green. If you're craving Thai, hit this place up! They never miss!
Came here after cinco de mayo and been wanting thai food for dinner. For a group of 5, we were seated very quickly and the service was attentive. Tom Yum Soup 5/5 - I loved the flavors from this dish, and it was perfectly spicy and sour. They also add in a good amount of seafood in the soup as well which was a big plus Crying Tiger 4/5 - I always like trying the crying tiger as well as their sauce that comes with it. It was tender and well seasoned. I was expecting a little more meat but it was no worries. Overall I would recommend this place later at night if you want to beat the waiting times. And ultimately, the thai food tasted authentic for a good price. Parking is also readily available for customers.
Really good Thai spot, all the flavors are on point. My go-to items are always the beef salad, papaya salad, and tom kha which all did not disappoint me here at all. The pad thai was smoky just like how I like it as well. Tom kha had a perfect balance between tangy and creamy which is hard to come by, and the beef salad had a really good lime sauce on top. The restaurant is really big and looks like many large families enjoy dining here. The service felt a little rushed but it could just be a culture thing lol waitresses were still accommodating and kind regardless, and I really enjoyed my experience
Been coming here since I was a kid, back when a family friend used to own the place, which has since been through many management/ownership changes over the years but never sacrificed the quality and authenticity of their food. I've tried many other Thai restaurants across LA and OC and always find myself coming back here. Maybe I'm biased because of the nostalgia but I promise this is some of the best Thai food you'll find in Orange County. Food: My boyfriend and I always get the following-- a curry, a noodle dish, and a rice dish. Our favorites are panang curry with chicken, pad see ew with beef, and pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp. Every bite is packed with so much flavor it's honestly hard to savor your food when it's that good. We always order the panang curry mild spice, which still packs a good punch of heat. The only thing that I guess kind of sucks is that steamed white rice isn't automatically included with the curry so you have to spend an extra $3+ if you want a bowl. Also I've had both their regular thai tea and thai green tea (which I don't have pics of) but I feel like they skimp HELLA on the drink itself so you're essentially paying $5 for a cup of ice. Do yourself a favor, save a couple bucks and go for drinks somewhere else after your meal. Everything else, on the other hand, 999/10. Service: Service is always good here! All the waitstaff are super friendly, easygoing, and attentive. We've never had an issue with our food arriving or having our water topped up. They also come by to make sure you're happy with everything you ordered. Ambiance: Okay so I'm going to shoot the sh*t with y'all and let you know this place is OLD. The only things that have changed over the years are their menus (as in menu design, going from a book to a laminated sheet etc) and I guess the bathroom got renovated at some point. Everything else is exactly how I remember growing up. Very hole in the wall, mom & pop local favorite kinda vibe going on but step inside and you have people from every background dining here. This isn't some gentrified, "modern concept" Thai spot, this is authentic as it gets so if you're looking for something slightly more upscale then of course there's other options. Personally, however, I live for mom & pop shops, especially if they are older because that's how you know they've been good enough to still be around after all this time. The food is consistently good. Try it!!
Came here with my friends because one of them highly recommended it as one of her favorite Thai restaurants in the area. For a saturday afternoon, they were decently busy, which is likely a good sign. The service was good as they took our orders promptly and got our food out in a reasonable time. Ended up getting one of the soups with pork, chicken pad thai, and the beef salad. All very excellent choices and none disappointed. The total came out to about $60 with tax and tip, which wasn't unreasonable for us 3. I can see why this place was recommended as all of the food was good. Would definitely recommend trying them out, and I'll definitely be coming back!
Called in order for pickup, great customer service when you call, the guy was very friendly & helpful with questions we had regarding the food on the menu & he gave us 2 free Thai Ts On The House Everything we ordered had there own unique yummy flavor of goodness. Even with the to go orders, the presentation of our food was A1 This place hit the Thai craving For Sure, if we are in town & feeling Thai Food, we will definitely be ordering from this place again, you won't be disappointed.
